This would need a private jet. We would love to travel to exotic destinations for wildlife viewing and ecological variety. For example, Borneo for
Orangutans, Madagascar for lemurs, Antarctica for birds, Amazon for everything, Galapagos for same,
Katmai for brown bears, already been to Kenya and loved it so much. We had better hurry up because we are in our 70's.
Posted By Nancy on February 20, 2012, 11:22 AM
The Pyramids in Egypt are my top choice. The scale of the construction is mind boggling, and it was done without any bulldozers, cranes, trucks, levels, etc. They are larger than anything you will ever experience. This is where Jesus the Pharaohs, Caesar, Marc Antony and Cleopatra, Napoleon and many other great leaders stood.
Venice is my wife's first choice and my second. Walk into the closest church or any old church you see after getting off the ship and you are in an art gallery filled with masterworks. This city was a world power in the Middle ages, and it shows.

Jungfraujoch, Switzerland! I spent a weekend in the valley below this mountain while I was studying in Europe last year, but I never made it to the "Top of Europe." I really regret it now... One day I'll return and go on that breathtaking train ride to the top.

In '03, we asked our then senior in high-school this very question laughed when he said the beach...when we repeated ANYWHERE- he immediately said to Scotland to play golf at St. Andrew's. A good golfer, we had him "qualified" by a pro here and he was able to play to Old Course as well as 2 others. It was a "bucket list" kind of question and a wildest dreams kind of answer.
My husband and I spent 2 weeks driving thru Scotland with 2 teenage boys, luggage and a set of golfclubs...a trip non of us will ever forget-

While there are really too many places on my bucket list to count, a couple sit near the top now. One is to see the Norwegian Fjords. The second is a trip to Peru that includes a Peruvian Amazon riverboat trip (food-focused, ceiling-to-floor window style to watch the Amazonian world float by) and of course (since we're already there, right?) Machu Picchu, and possibly some beachtime and seafood in Los Organos.
