While shopping at the Westfield San Francisco Centre at Market and Powell streets, walk right past the Panda Express and the Jamba Juice to get to the other food court—the gourmet-yet-highly-affordable one. The Food Emporium's selection includes outposts of local favorites like Papa Beard pastries, Vietnamese Out the Doors by famed Charles Phan of the Slanted Door and Bistro Burger, known for its grass-fed, free-range beef.
With fast service, entrees hovering around $8, and a convenient downtown location (the Powell Street exit on BART public transit leads straight into the mall), even non-shoppers should make a pit-stop.
Located on the Concourse level, near Bloomingdale's. The mall is at 865 Market St. (about three blocks from Union Square).

Mmmmm... Beard Papa! Some of those fast food places are my favorite spots to grab something quick in SF. It's also something that a lot of locals know about but tourists don't. And don't forget about the great Thai place next to the Out The Door.

Don't forget Mr Hana and Buckhorn Grill...AWESOME food there! Best part about that mall is that they serve you on REAL plates (not paper!) and with REAL silverware...how environmentally friendly!! :)
