Ski deals
Posted by: Erik Torkells, Monday, Sep 17, 2007, 12:53 PM

I met with some lovely representatives from British Columbia this morning, and one (Darlene Small from Whistler) mentioned something that bears repeating. If you're looking for ski deals (and who isn't?), this is a great time. All the major North American ski resorts are trying to lock in reservations for November and December, so if you book before mid-November you can get great discounts. And then she said something else interesting...

"Never buy a lift ticket from the window," she said. Instead, you should either make it part of your lodging deal or buy it on the way up the mountain—look at local supermarkets or convenience stores.
